Chief Forecaster's Commentary

Apart from a very isolated shower this afternoon, most of Essex will enjoy a dry and warm day with plenty of Spring-like sunshine. With light South-Easterly winds, highest temperatures will be in Western parts of the county.

An area of thundery rain will pass close to the South-East Coast overnight. Whilst the heaviest rain is expected to remain offshore, many places will see a spell of rain between midnight and 5AM on Thursday.
