Severe Weather and Flood Warnings
All current Met Office severe weather and Environment Agency flood warnings affecting Essex are listed below. Each warning is listed by type and severity and any local authorities at risk are also shown with respective warning levels.
The Essex Weather Centre does not produce any warnings - this is the responsibility of the relevant Government authorities listed below. We will, however, provide live updates when severe weather or flooding is occurring within Essex via our social media channels and local radio stations.

There is currently ONE SEVERE WEATHER WARNING issued for this county by the Met Office
Valid from 0200 on Thu 13 Mar 2014 to 1015 on Thu 13 Mar 2014 (Yellow Warning of Fog)
Fog patches are expected to form overnight onwards into early Thursday morning, becoming dense in places with visibility below 200 metres at times.
The public should be aware of the potential for some difficult driving conditions and disruption to travel, particularly during the morning rush hour.
