Lingering overnight cloud and rain will soon clear Essex this morning to leave a generally dry and bright day with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures are set to return to average, or slightly above during the weekend and early next week. Little in the way of any rainfall expected with high pressure close-by throughout the medium range forecast period.
