Essex Weather CentreEach day the Essex Weather Centre team pull together the information we need to make a informed decision - and it's a lot more than looking out the window across Chelmsford! It is a result of a very rigorous process, careful deliberation and a careful evaluation of the facts. We gather all the information we can from land and sea based weather stations, satellite images, rainfall radar as well as forecast models from both UK and European providers. Only then can we put them all together to make the best decision possible. On our web site you'll find a detailed local weather forecast, current severe weather advisories for all districts of Essex with useful advice and links to local information from the Environment Agency and UK Met Office, a frequently updated weather report and finally a selection of webcams. Our pledge is to deliver our forecasting decisions by 6.00 am and 4.30 pm each day, freely on this web site and through our partner network of radio stations and newspapers.
